We are proud to have won the Carolinas AGC 2021 Pinnacle Award for the US17 Maysville Bypass in Maysville, NC, completed with our joint-venture partners, Balfour Beatty. The US17 Maysville Bypass included sixteen miles of highway, and twenty-six new bridges, many of which were over wetlands and accommodated animal crossings. A unique challenge was presented when portions of the project were under fifteen feet of water for several weeks after Hurricane Florence.
Delivered seven months ahead of schedule, the project was one of twelve awarded based on their value to the community, unique aspects and challenges, safety performance, project management, and budget and schedule.
