Maysville Bypass

We’re proud to share that the Maysville Bypass in Jones County, North Carolina, has been named one of Roads & Bridges magazine’s Top 10 Roads. Our team faced many challenges as the joint-venture partner on this project, including major flooding from Hurricane Florence. However, we worked with Balfour Beatty to overcome them and deliver the 16-mile highway under budget and nearly eight months ahead of schedule.

Special thanks to our hard-working field employees and project team: Superintendent Joe Bordt, Foreman David Conley, Senior Project Manager Chris Martin, Project Manager Shonn Wallace, and Design-Build Coordinator Lewis Cuthrell.

Roads & Bridges’ Top 10 Roads awards, created in 2000, recognize the top projects in North America. Each year, nominations are submitted to the R&B editorial staff, which determines the Top 10 list based on project challenges, impact to the region, and scope of work.
