Branch Civil aided progress on an interstate project that’s been in the works since the 1990’s.
The US 220/NC 68 Connector project completes a missing link in the I-73 corridor by joining an existing and future portion of the interstate near Greensboro.
When complete, Interstate 73 will run from South Carolina to Michigan, tying in North Carolina in an effort to improve north-south travel through the U.S.
Branch Civil provided construction management and heavy civil and infrastructure services for the 1.3 mile, $11.4M project in Rockingham County which involved constructing a new bridge and converting an at-grade intersection into an interchange.
Branch Civil saved the project nearly half a million dollars by utilizing on-site material for construction instead of using an off-site borrow source.
This was one of Rockingham County’s highest priority highway projects because of the economic benefits interstate access brings to the community.
