The Towne Place at Greenbrier is a favorite destination for Chesapeake, VA, residents seeking entertainment, food and upscale retail businesses in a “town square” atmosphere.
Branch Civil teamed up with builder M.B. Kahn Construction as subcontractor to provide a complete site development package for the mixed-use lifestyle center, which has continued to expand since its grand opening in 2007.
Nearly every aspect of civil and site development was completed prior to the opening of the first storefront, including clearing and grubbing, along with grading and disposing of material on the entire site.
Branch Civil crews installed water, sewer and storm drain lines both on and off site, paved parking lots, installed pathways and constructed medians and concrete entrances. Striping the parking lots and turn lanes completed this portion of the project.
Additional off-site work included widening and installing turn lanes on four roadways leading into the complex.
Towne Place boasts a daytime population of more than 50,000 people, and is one of the city’s premier venues for live concerts in the warmer months.
