WORK IN PROGRESS

A variety of improvement projects totaling more than $13M significantly changed the landscape in Fishersville, VA and opened up a multitude of opportunities for economic growth and a better quality of life in this flourishing mountain valley.

Branch Civil built two miles of new roadway alignment on Rt. 636 which included a bridge over active railroad tracks and a shared use path.  This section of road, also known as Lifecore Drive, provided a much-needed safer corridor leading from Rt. 250 directly to Augusta Health Regional Hospital.

Because of the excellent relationships that were forged with clients and county leaders during the Rt. 636 project, Branch Civil continued its commitment to aiding economic development in the region.

Branch Civil provided Design-Build services to create a new site for the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, part of Mary Baldwin University.   Construction crews delivered the college a pad-ready building site and prepared a rough grade parking area large enough to accommodate 300 cars.

Branch Civil also provided a complete site package for general contractor KBS Inc., in preparation for the construction of the 20+ acre Goose Creek Apartment community, which provides housing for students of the Health Sciences program.

Branch Civil was active in the development of the Mill Creek Commerce Park, performing erosion and sediment control for the building pad, and grading for the Mill Place Parkway extension.

Additionally, Branch Civil constructed a series of roadways at the intersection of Rt. 250 and Lifecore Drive to connect portions of another new development, the Myers Corner residential and commercial multi-use project.  Crews performed utility, drainage and grading work simultaneously in order to provide access to building contractors.

Further enhancements totaling $3.4M are underway for Rt. 636 (Lifecore Dr.) and Rt. 608 (Tinkling Springs Road.)
